Happy Birthday, ~Ytril
This is her character Grell, nicknamed Rat. A background role in one of her stories. One of the rodents next to him is his pet (the name translated to English would mean "Little Cow", due to her size and spots). His hair doesn't look like this at all in fact.
He's a friend of this poor fellow
If you wonder how some pink dots got onto the sky - I used strawberry scented bathing salt. It was red.

In case you'd like to reblog it on tumblr, head here for my post.

Graphite, watercolour, ink and white gel pen on 21 x 29 cm watercolour paper.
WIP photos are on my tumblr, here and here.
Soundtrack: Bathory - Heimfard

I really like the way u use the colors for ur pictures. This one is especially the one so far. The feeling like when the first time u look at it, u get struck by a strong feeling of sth so deep. The composition of the pic is also an element to give it a success. :)

Wow, the shading of this piece seems to be quite different and unusual. Maybe it is the lightning? I really am enjoying this one of yours, really, it is so enticing and beautiful! Even the title you have given it is so very compelling!

Perhaps the lightning indeed, but could be also the colours. And well, this was the first time I painted directly with my fingers (:

Do you mean to say that this whole piece was only painted with your bare fingers? That takes a lot of skill, devotion and patience.

I LOVE his face! SUPER-HOT! All of your works have such depth; you can tell there's so much more to them than just a picture. You can tell there are characters and a story there. Lovely!

Oh, this one is very nice!! I bet Ytril was delighted :aww:
I love the colors and all the textures; particularly the transparent water and the swirls in the borders!

Despite the lack of seagulls ;p the background reminds me a town of the North or Baltic sea coast. Even if I've never been there (but maybe someday, in a close future... hopefully...).

Anyways, glad to see a character i did not know. His face reminds me a poor tracked little animal :meow:

I think Ytril might have been distracted lately, but I'm convinced she did like this one (;
Textures were so fun to do in this one - nothing more entertaining than getting your fingers all black with ink. And I know what do you mean about the architecture - reminds me of North German and some North France villages, at least from what I've seen in photos.

Exactly, I would even say Belgien, actually it reminds me Brugge, the Venice of the North c: (in fact I've never been there either)

Doesn't she give you any news? I sent her my birthday wishes via Gmail, and I'm on the way to show her her present.

Oh she does. We chat daily as usual. And these are happy news at last. She's deep in her uni and rent stuff, though, so she's really slow at replying to mails (and at dA, too, since I've fixed the issues she had with loading it).
